Bongaigaon, July 18: A 16-bedded Dialysis Unit was formally inaugurated at Bongaigaon Civil Hospital today, supported by Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), Bongaigaon Refinery under its Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) initiative.

Barpeta MP Phani Bhusan Choudhary, formally inaugurated the unit in the presence of Bongaigaon DC Dhrubojyoti Das, General Manager, BGR IOCL Mushuka Bora, Assistant Manager, BGR IOCL Sharat Kumar, and other dignitaries and senior officials from the health and allied departments.

With the commissioning of this facility, dialysis services are now available at Bongaigaon Civil Hospital, offering critical support to patients suffering from chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Importantly, all eligible patients can avail of dialysis treatment completely free of cost at the hospital, marking a significant step forward in accessible and equitable healthcare in the region.
