1st CREED Expo to be held in Guwahati, aims to Empower and Promote Women and Youth

Guwahati, Assam – The CREED Expo 2024, a landmark 12-day event organized by the Community for Resource Elevation and Effective Development (CREED), will take place from 29th November to 10th December 2024 at Lakshidhar Bora Kshetra, in front of Digholi Pukhuri, Guwahati. This initiative aims to promote women and youth empowerment by providing a platform to showcase the diverse talents and entrepreneurial endeavors of Northeast India.

The expo will bring together artisans, entrepreneurs, farmers, producers, and startups, highlighting handloom, handicrafts, food processing units, and agri-based products. Entrepreneurs from countries such as Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the UAE, and Bhutan will also participate, fostering international collaboration and creating opportunities for Northeast Indian entrepreneurs to expand their global reach.

Adding to the significance of the event, it has received strong support from government organizations like NEDFi and DC Handicraft as well as leading corporate entities, including Star Cement. Their involvement underscores the importance of the expo in promoting regional industries and creating avenues for economic growth and empowerment.

The event is set to be inaugurated on 29th November 2024 at 11 AM by the expected Hon’ble Shri Bimal Borah, Minister of Cultural Affairs, Assam, and is likely to be graced by senior officials from prominent departments and corporates. The initiative is proudly supported by the popular Assamese actor Ravi Sarma and youth sensation Sanindhya Bhuyan, who will bring charm and enthusiasm to the occasion.

The CREED Expo 2024 reflects Guwahati’s pivotal role as a gateway to Northeast India’s thriving cultural and entrepreneurial industries, striving to position the region as a key player in these markets. Funds raised from the event will be utilized to empower marginalized communities, particularly women, aligning with CREED’s mission of social and economic development.
