PALASBARI, Dec 24: The Anusuchit Jati Yuba Chatra Parishad, Asom (AJYCP) has accused Dr. Biswajit Das, a professor at Chhaygaon College, of allegedly using a fraudulent Scheduled Caste (SC) certificate to secure a position reserved for SC candidates in the college’s Commerce Department.
The AJYCP obtained Das’s caste certificate from the Higher Education Department through a Right to Information (RTI) application. The organization has raised concerns over the validity of the certificate and its implications.
Dr. Das, an academic with MSc and PGDCA degrees from Gauhati University, now faces scrutiny over his eligibility for the reserved post.
In a recent press conference held at the Dispur Press Club, AJYCP representatives announced their intent to escalate the issue by involving the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). They emphasized their commitment to ensuring justice in the matter.
