Guwahati, Jan 10: A young woman’s body was discovered today at her rented residence in the Rukmini Nagar area of the city. The deceased, identified as Biplabi Nath from Goalpara, was employed at a local business establishment.
Authorities responded to the scene early this morning and initiated an investigation. The body was transported to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.
This marks the third such tragic event in just over a week. Earlier this week, on January 1, Payal Saikia, a young woman, was found dead under suspicious circumstances in an apartment in Chandmari. On January 9, another woman’s body was discovered in Tarun Nagar, where she had also been found hanging.
The police are continuing their inquiries into these deaths, which appear to be linked by their troubling similarities.
