A friendly football match was held between Gossaigaon Army Unit and Gossaigaon Football Club in Gossaigaon on Sunday

Gossaigaon 28 April: Under the aegis of Red Horne Division of Indian Army stationed at Habrubil, Gossaigaon, a warm up match was organised between Gossaigaon Army Unit and Gossaigaon Football Club at Gossaigaon stadium today. Hemendra Nath Brahma, General Secretary, All Assam Football Association was the chief guest of the event.

     The purpose of the match was to promote good health and spirit of friendly competition among the locality surrounding Gossaigaon sub-division.The local people applauded the Gossaigaon Army Unit for its very initiative in reaching out to the youths. The unit got an overwhelming response from the civil teams with full enthusiasm. It is to be noted that the local people appreciated the army unit for today’s activities in enhancing a sense of achievement, national pride and patriotism in the youth of today’s generation and faith in them.

     On the other hand, in the event Gossaigaon Army Unit scored 2 goals followed by Gossaigaon Football Club 4 goals. In the cessation, Hemendra Nath Brahma, General Secretary, All Assam Football Association distributed prize among the players for their well performance in the match.
