The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Guwahati will be organizing a series of health camps and awareness programmes as part of the nationwide campaign ‘Swasth Nari, Shashakt Pariwar Abhiyan’ being launched by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.
The campaign seeks to empower women and strengthen families by promoting preventive healthcare and improving access to essential medical services. In line with this vision, AIIMS Guwahati will conduct health camps in neighbouring rural communities and also set up dedicated kiosks in the OPD Foyer of the institute for free screening of anaemia, diabetes, hypertension, body mass composition, pap smear and other health education services. A special Bone Mass Density screening will also be conducted during the campaign.
