The Anini Winter Fest 2026 (AWF 5.0) will be held on September 19 and 20, 2026 in Anini, Dibang Valley, Arunachal Pradesh. The AWF is a community-driven music, cultural, and adventure festival organized by the local Idu Mishmi community.
The two day festival will take place on two open-air stages showcasing regional artists, Northeastern folk sounds, and indie bands. Artists for AWF 2026 include Kunal Ganjawala, UNB, Anurag Dutta, Alo the Band, Moko Kaza, Khaali Frame, Rageshree Rai, AIOM, Mihir Chandan, Your Lust Vacation
Objectives of Anini Winter Fest:
– Promote sustainable eco-tourism
– Sharing the unique traditions of Idu Mishmi community
– Showcasing the remote landscape of Dibang Valley
– Hospitality and cuisine of Arunachal Pradesh
There will also be guided insights into the Idu Mismi traditions and rituals along with traditional folk music, crafts and attires.
You will have to purchase passes for the festival. The Single Day, Explorer pass will cost you ₹1,999 per person and the Full 2-Day Festival Access pass will cost you ₹3,499 per person.
On their website, the organisers have also include STAY+FESTIVAL PASS PACKAGES. You can choose what suits you. There are 2 nights 3 days (₹5,799 per person, double sharing), 3 night 4 days (₹6,699 per person, double sharing), and 4 nights 5 days (₹7,599 per person, double sharing) packages to select from.
The Homestay Options have been divided into STANDARD and DELUXE. STANDARD stars at ₹1,800 per room, and DELUXE rooms start from ₹3,000. Transportation costs are extra.
The organisers have included Adventure Tourism and Eco-Driven Camping. You can ride ATVs and go hiking to beautiful waterfalls nearby in the Karo Valley.
How to reach Anini and where to stay
Apply for an Inner Line Permit, PAP (Protected Area Permit) for foreign nationals. You will not be allowed without the permit, so ensure it. It can be obtained online or at the entry points bordering Assam and Arunachal Pradesh.
The nearest railway station and airport is at Dibrugarh. Regular flights and trains are available. The communication infrastructure is good here. Book a taxi, cab as public transport is not available all the time. You will travel from Dibrugarh via Dhola-Sadiya Bridge through Mayodia Pass and Hunli into Anini via NH-313.

Carry power banks, BSNL SIM card if possible, other networks are not so great. Chargeable torch-lights or battery operated, just in case your phone torch is not sufficient.
