Assam Police are offering rewards for any information about the five (5) perpetrators who were seen in a viral video brutally torturing a young girl. Police also shared the images of the perpetrators seen in the video.On Twitter, Assam Police shared the images of five (5) perpetrators; four (4) men and one (1) woman seen in a viral video brutally torturing and raping a young girl.
“The time or place of this incident is not clear, from the viral video. Though it is not clear where this incident took place and it may not be from Assam, we are reaching out to proactively locate the culprits” informed Assam police.
“Anyone with information regarding this crime or the criminals may please contact us. They will be rewarded handsomely. We must stand together to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice,” Assam police tweeted.
Earlier, the viral video was circulated claiming that it was related to the recent incident that took place in Rajasthan, Jodhpur, where a 25-year-old Naga woman died by suicide. The sister of the deceased and the police have reviewed the viral video and confirmed that the video does not show the Naga woman who died by suicide in Jodhpur, Delhi Police Additional Director General and Special Commissioner Robin Hibu told IPS.
“We are trying to identify the girl in the viral video, also the perpetrators for further action,” Hibu added.
