GUWAHATI: The Kamrup Chamber of Commerce (KCC) has alleged that even though the state government has imposed restriction in the Guwahati on movement from 12 PM to 5 AM to stop the spread of COVID-19, labourers forced to work round the clock in loading and unloading of goods at Railway yards even though normal working hours for the same are only between 6 AM to 10 PM.

MP Jain, President Kamrup Chamber of Commerce said that there is a great shortage of truck and labourers in the state as labourers are reluctant to work under poor working conditions. Reportedly, the labours are forced to work round the clock and no form of social distancing is followed during the loading and unloading of goods.
