Assamese Film Tibro Pledges Minimum ₹21 Lakh for Assam Flood Relief

Dream House Production (India) Pvt. Ltd. announces a Flood Relief initiative of a Minimum of ₹21 Lakh, or 20% of the Net Profit from the Upcoming Assamese Movie Tibro – Whichever Is Higher – for flood affected people.

Guwahati, August 4, 2026: In a heartfelt tribute to the vision of its founder, Late Neeta Sharma, Dream House Production (India) Pvt. Ltd. has announced a series of social welfare initiatives alongside the release of its upcoming Assamese feature film Tibro, reaffirming its belief in using cinema as a force for social good.

The production house has a longstanding tradition of supporting communities in times of need, including providing financial assistance to Assamese film technicians affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Building on these efforts, it has now launched a comprehensive relief and rehabilitation initiative to support families affected by the Assam floods through both immediate assistance and long-term opportunities.

Dream House Production (India) Pvt. Ltd. was founded by Late Neeta Sharma, born in Simaluguri, a town in the district of Sivasagar, who completed her education from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Nazira and Gargaon College, Simaluguri. In addition to being the founder of Dream House Production, she was a philanthropist and founder of Wommanias, a woman led organisation aimed at empowering women through financial independence. Her vision was to create a platform that would produce meaningful cinema while empowering people through the creative arts. Following her untimely demise, her husband, Mr. Suresh Sharma, has taken on the responsibility of completing Tibro and carrying forward her vision.

As part of this commitment, Dream House Production (India) Pvt. Ltd. has announced that it will contribute 20% of the net profits from Tibro towards Assam flood relief efforts. More importantly, regardless of the film’s commercial performance, the company has pledged a minimum contribution of ₹21 lakh for flood-affected families in the Sivasagar and Charaideo districts, ensuring that assistance reaches those in need irrespective of the film’s box office collections.
Beyond financial support, members of the Tibro team will personally visit flood-affected areas in Sivasagar and Charaideo districts to undertake voluntary service. The team will distribute essential relief materials, spend time with affected families, and actively participate in relief efforts on the ground.
In a long-term initiative focused on creating sustainable opportunities for young people, the Dream House Music and Film Academy will provide free professional training to 51 students from Sivasagar and Charaideo districts in music, filmmaking, film production, and other creative disciplines. Selected students will receive professional mentorship and skill development opportunities to help them build successful careers in the creative industry. Beneficiaries will be nominated through reputed non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from the two districts.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Suresh Sharma, Producer of Tibro and Director of Dream House Production (India) Pvt. Ltd., said:
“Cinema has the power to entertain, but it also carries the responsibility to inspire and serve society. This small initiative is not charity; it is our duty. My wife, Neeta Sharma, believed that success becomes truly meaningful only when it uplifts others. Through Tibro, we hope to honour her dream by standing beside families affected by the Assam floods and by creating opportunities for young people to build meaningful careers in the creative industry. Whether the film succeeds commercially or not, our commitment to the people of Sivasagar and Charaideo districts will remain unwavering.”

These initiatives reflect Dream House Production (India) Pvt. Ltd.’s vision of using cinema as a catalyst for positive social change by combining immediate humanitarian assistance with long-term investments in education, skills, and livelihood generation. Through Tibro, the production house hopes to carry forward the legacy envisioned by Late Neeta Sharma and create a lasting impact on communities across Assam.
