BJP’s Jayanta Malla Baruah Wins Nalbari by Over 60,101 Votes

BJP leader Jayanta Malla Baruah has registered a decisive victory in the Assam Assembly elections 2026 from the Nalbari constituency, securing a total of 1,18,611 votes.

He defeated his nearest rival by a margin exceeding 60,101 votes, marking one of the most significant wins in the constituency.

The result further strengthens the performance of the BJP-led NDA across the state, as the alliance moves towards securing a third consecutive term under Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Celebrations were reported in Nalbari following the announcement, with supporters gathering as counting trends continued to favour the ruling alliance.

The Nalbari outcome stands out as one of the highest-margin victories in this election cycle, reflecting strong support for the BJP candidate in the constituency.
