Dispur, July 6: Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today held a detailed meeting with the leadership of the All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) in Dispur, focusing on critical issues related to education and development in the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) and Bodo-inhabited areas outside the BTR.
During the discussion, the Chief Minister assured the ABSU delegation that longstanding concerns—including provincialisation of educational institutions, promotion of Bodo medium education, and the availability of Bodo medium study materials in Anganwadi centres—would be addressed on a priority basis.
The meeting was attended by BTR Chief Executive Member Pramod Boro, Cabinet Minister Urkhao Gwra Brahma, ABSU President Dipen Boro, Vice President Kwrwmdao Wary, and General Secretary Khanindra Basumatary.
