Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday reviewed the progress of several major infrastructure projects, including AIIMS Guwahati, a proposed 20,000-seater international-standard cricket stadium and a multi-level parking facility at Amingaon.
The review covered the current status of the projects and the steps required for their timely implementation.
AIIMS Guwahati was among the key projects discussed, with the facility expected to strengthen the state’s healthcare infrastructure and expand access to advanced medical services.
The proposed 20,000-seater cricket stadium is being planned as an international-standard sporting facility and is expected to add to Assam’s existing sports infrastructure.
The proposed multi-level parking facility at Amingaon is aimed at addressing parking requirements and strengthening urban infrastructure in the rapidly developing area.
The Chief Minister’s Office said the government is monitoring the progress of the projects and working towards their completion within the planned timelines.
