Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma chaired the 41st Board meeting of Guwahati Smart City Limited, taking stock of key infrastructure and urban development projects under the Smart City Mission.
Among the major initiatives reviewed was the Brahmaputra Riverfront Development Project, envisioned to transform the riverbank into a vibrant public space that reflects the cultural and natural heritage of Guwahati.
Also under discussion was the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS), aimed at decongesting city roads and promoting a more sustainable, tech-driven approach to urban mobility.
The Chief Minister emphasized timely execution and quality delivery of projects to align with the broader vision of making Guwahati a model for urban transformation in the Northeast.
