Covid-19 Assam: Patient from Hailakandi district expires in ICU

Corona virus affected patient who was in a critical condition in ICU, Silchar Medical College and Hospital expired today.

According to Sources the patient expired due to complication of Covid-19 imfection.

The patient has been identified as Faijul Haque Barbhuyan(65) resident of Hailakandi district.

It is to be mentioned that the patient was also suffering from Pnemonia and was shifted to ICU on 9th April.

The information regarding his demise was announced by Assam health minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma through his twitter handle.

Earlier on Thursday, the health minister informed through a tweet that the total number of cases in Assam rose to 29.

“Alert ~ A person from Dhubri, who was in contact with the first patient (with Markaz linkage) from the same district, has been confirmed as #COVID19 positive. The total number of #Covid patients in #Assam now stands at 29.
