Death toll of wild animals rises to 205 in Kaziranga National Park due to flood

The death toll of wild animals in Kaziranga National Park, Assam due to flood has risen to 205. Till now 18 rhinos and one elephant have died in the flood.

According to a report on Thursday, 172 animals have died after drowning in flood water whereas 17 others were crushed to death by vehicles on NH-37 while trying to cross the road to a higher ground.

On the other hand eleven wild animals have died due to various other reasons.

Currently, five animals of the Park are undergoing treatment.
