Kachugaon: In a step towards enhancing livelihood opportunities through skill development, EM Wilson Hasda today distributed course completion certificates and toolkits to candidates who successfully completed the Self-Employment Linked Short-Term Courses under the SEED Department, BTR. The distribution ceremony was held at the Kachugaon Sports Club.
The initiative, spearheaded by the SEED Department of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Executive Member Shri Pramod Boro, is designed to empower individuals with practical skills and resources that promote self-reliance and sustainable employment.
The event witnessed the presence of several dignitaries including ITI Superintendent Shri Bhumswarang Basumatary, N.N. Brahma Senior College Lecturer Shri Buddhiram Basumatary, UN Academy Principal Shri Sushanta Narzary, and the Secretary of ABSU Kachugaon, among others.
Speaking on the occasion, EM Wilson Hasda emphasized the importance of skill development as a catalyst for self-sufficiency and economic progress, especially in rural and semi-urban areas. He further reiterated the BTR government’s commitment to building a skilled, empowered, and economically resilient society through such targeted interventions.
The distributed toolkits are expected to support the beneficiaries in translating their newly acquired skills into viable income-generating ventures.
