Thounaojam Strela hails from Imphal, Manipur. She is a Model and TV Anchor by profession and is also continuing her studies.
- In an exclusive interview with Guwahati Times Strela informed that she is currently pursuing Business studies at the Manipal University, Jaipur.
- Speaking about her hobbies, She said that she likes Singing, writing, pottery, and music.
- Later on, speaking about her modeling career, she said, “Since 2015, I got discovered by chance.”
- How do you feel after being selected as the Miss India contestant of your state?
I feel ecstatic at the same time grateful. Having tried for 2 years prior, I have lost so much confidence but after knowing that Miss India is coming to my state, my home, I knew I had to join and be a very good host to all the contestants and also the organization.
- “For my future, I wish to pursue the field that I have taken an interest in, which is Business,” She added speaking about her future plans.

- If you win in the pageant, what would you do for your society?
I would try to stand as an epitome of what I believe in, spreading words on mental health and its importance, and encouraging a child-friendly education system in our society.
- Message for the people of Manipur:
As Miss India is coming to our state, our home, it is our responsibility to keep them safe and treat them like a family as we are however it takes efforts from all the people of Manipur, not just me, not just the Govt. But every single one of us!
