Guwahati Police arrested a total of 20 mobile phone snatchers and thieves in the last 48 hours in a drive launched across the city after a number of cases were registered in different police stations in Guwahati.
During the raids, 20 snatchers and burglars were arrested. Also, two laptops, seven mobile phones and two scooty were recovered from their possession.
The arrested persons have been identified as, Mahidul Ali, Hasan Ali, Nayan Das, Dharani Das, Noor Hussain, Jan Ali, Mir Hussain, Biki Ali, Rajesh Sahu, Bikramjit Konch alias Rahul Boro, Saibul Islam, Saibul Islam, Baharul Islam, Chotu Ali, Rahul Ali, Rafique Hussain, Sahid Hussain, Babul Ali, Rajesh Sahu and Umananda Das.
Speaking to Guwahati Times correspondent, Guwahati Police said that the drive shall continue to nab more accused.
