GUWAHATI,Nov 7: In compliance with the directions of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) to commemorate 150 years of the National Song “Vande Mataram,” all units of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) enthusiastically participated in the inaugural ceremony held on November 7 .
To mark the occasion, a mass singing of the full version of “Vande Mataram” was organised at 1000 hrs across all CISF units, including the Force Headquarters in Guwahati Airport,where over 200 personnel took part with patriotic fervour.
With its vast geographical presence across the nation, CISF ensured wide dissemination of this noble message. Units located in major cities as well as in remote regions organised events encouraging maximum public participation, thereby connecting citizens with a shared sense of cultural pride and national unity.
CISF personnel across all units & formations took part in the digital campaign titled “Karaoke with Vande Mataram,” wherein they recorded and uploaded renditions of the full version of the National Song. In several locations, singing competitions were also held to add to the festive spirit.
All units and formations actively participated in the live telecast of the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s address, marking the beginning of this nationwide commemoration. Approved branding collaterals such as hoardings, banners, website creatives, and a short film were also unveiled to promote the campaign’s message.
Further programmes have been planned throughout the year to sustain the momentum of this nationwide celebration.
The commemoration of “Vande Mataram” stands as a tribute to India’s spirit of unity, pride and patriotism—encouraging every citizen to reflect upon the enduring values that bind the nation together. All CISF units have been encouraged to involve the public alongside Force personnel in these activities, fostering a collective sense of responsibility and reinforcing the timeless relevance of our National Song in contemporary society.
