Guwahati: In a routine inspection on Friday, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) of NF Railway rescued a minor girl from the Guwahati Railway Station on Saturday night.

As per reports, the RPF personnel noticed the girl loitering around at the station. On being asked, she disclosed that she ran away from her home at Bijoynagar.

Thereafter, the minor girl aged about 17 years was brought to the RPF post for further necessary action.

After a medical examination and observing all formalities the rescued minor girl was handed over to Railway Child Help Line, Guwahati.

“RPF personnel of Guwahati rescued one minor girl of 17 yrs age from Guwahati station at about 00-45 hrs yesterday. After a medical examination and observing all formalities the rescued minor girl was handed over to Railway Child Help Line, Guwahati,” Northeast Frontier Railway tweeted.
