5-Day Nationwide Weather Forecast

A cyclonic circulation is set to cause scattered rain and thundershowers over Northeastern India, with heavy rain in excess of 70 mm/day and thunderstorms especially likely over Arunachal Pradesh on Tuesday, and Assam on Wednesday. Rainfall will linger over northeastern India all week.

A feeble western disturbance located over northern Pakistan will affect northern India from Wednesday onwards. It will bring light to moderate rain and thunderstorms over the western Himalayan region, while snow may mix in the alpine area.

Spells of thundershowers are expected over southern India due to unsettle condition for next give days.

A well-marked low pressure formed over the west of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands will likely upgrade to a cyclonic storm within the next few days.

Maximum temperature will run cooler than normal over northern, central, eastern and northeastern India for the next five days.

Area of max temperatures in excess of 40°C will spread over western, southern and central India for the next five days.

Tuesday

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely over Arunachal Pradesh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are expected over Assam, Nagaland, Meghalaya, Sikkim and West Bengal. Snow may mix in alpine areas.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms are in the forecast over Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Goa and coastal Karnataka.

Isolated rain and thundershowers are possible over Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Isolated snow/rain and thunderstorms have been predicted over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Maximum temperatures in excess of 40°C are likely over some places of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh.

Wednesday

Heavy rain and thunderstorms are likely over Assam, whereas fairly widespread rain and thunderstorms are possible over Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya.

Scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected over Sikkim, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, coastal Karnataka and Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Isolated rain and thundershowers have been forecast over Delhi, Haryana, Jharkhand, Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

Isolated snow/rain and thunderstorms are possible over Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.

Maximum temperatures in excess of 40°C are likely over some places of Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
