The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay contributed to the development of the fifth-generation technology (5G) core subsystem of the 5G testbed. The 5G core development team at IIT Bombay was led by Professor Mythili Vutukuru. The project is expected to significantly boost both research and start-up ecosystems in India.
