Goalpara, June 9: Just after assuming charge as Guardian Minister of Goalpara district Jayanta Mallabaruah promptly resolved a long-pending pension related grievance of a bereaved family from Goalpara that had been struggling for nearly three years.
The issue came to the Minister Baruah’s notice after Himank Das, a resident of Tiplai in Goalpara district, texted the Minister for help over Whatsapp regarding the pension and service-related dues of his late father, who had served as the Headmaster of Tiplai Higher Secondary School and passed away in June 2023.
The family alleged that pensionary benefits and related dues had remained pending due to audit-related complications, pushing them into severe financial crisis. The matter had caused immense distress to the family, with the student son finding it difficult to continue his studies and the family facing mounting challenges.
Upon learning of the issue, Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah immediately took cognisance of the matter and directed the District Commissioner of Goalpara to examine the case quickly within 3 days and submit a report for the same along with the person responsible for it.
Expressing gratitude, the family thanked the Minister and the district administration for their timely intervention and compassionate approach.
The Minister said to the family that in Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma government, ensuring genuine public grievances and addressing them promptly is of utmost priority.
