AZARA,March 10:Magic Bus India Foundation, Kamrup (M) , a non-governmental organisation (NGO) celebrated International Women’s Day at the Dakhin Beltola community through a day-long programme on Tuesday (today).
Various awareness programmes were organised to promote gender equality and to sensitise the community about different social security schemes aimed at the protection and empowerment of women. The programmes also highlighted initiatives of the Women and Child Development Department and discussed ways in which beneficiaries can avail themselves of these schemes.
Officials associated with the SANKALP District Hub for Empowerment of Women participated in the programme and interacted with the attendees. Community members ,teachers of Dakhin Beltola High School along with Magic Bus India Foundation officials were also present on the occasion.
