Guwahati, August 24, 2026: A Class 8 student from Pachariya in Assam’s Kamrup district was allegedly raped at a homestay in Saukuchi, Guwahati, in a disturbing incident reported on Sunday.
According to preliminary information, the minor girl had reportedly been missing since Sunday afternoon. She was later traced, following which the alleged incident at Rongmon Grand homestay came to light.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are currently being investigated. Further details, including the identity of those allegedly involved, are awaited.
