How would you describe your own personality?
Self-Motivated, Amiable, confident, Optimistic and most importantly resilient and empathetic.

Who is the most influential person in your life?
My grandmother. Being a single mother who lost her husband in a road crash when one of her baby was a toddler and the other one still in her womb and coming from a rural background, a small village of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand she raised two children alone and toiled hard to make an identity of her own in a fast moving city like Delhi.

What is the craziest rumor you have heard about yourself?
For most of my primary school days, back in 2000 other kids thought I was a guy because of my extremely short haircut. The sections got shuffled and the rumor stayed alive. It was only when I was in 10th standard one of my old class mates came and told me what they thought of me and we had a great laugh about how naive kids can be.

What has been your biggest achievement before Miss India?
Representing my school at Lawn tennis and Chess zonal and also being a spokesperson in a conference at a school.

Rate in order of priority the three qualities that every woman must possess…
Self Belief: always have faith in yourself and your gut feeling and never doubt your capabilities. You are capable of moving mountains. Character and Respect: being truly beautiful has nothing to do with what you look like but everything to do with who you are as an individual. Be your true authentic self and never allow anyone to ill-treat or disrespect you. Drive and ambition: don’t underestimate yourself. Be confident and do everything with complete determination and follow your ambition.

Rate in order of personal preference, the three qualities that you admire in a man:
Respect and Humility: not only for people, but for nature and animals and everyone around. Confidence and Wits: a man who is confident and responsible of his actions and witty is appealing. Discipline: I feel a person who leads a disciplined life is half way to success

If you were to give one bit of advice to the youth today, what would it be?
Always keep two things with you- self belief and passion towards your goal. The key to success is confidence in yourself and ignorance of all the negativity around you. Don’t let opinions of others consume you, never doubt yourself and be generous in temperament and tolerant of differences. Respect others and be ever growing and yet grounded like a banyan tree.

If god will grant you one wish, what would you ask for?
I would wish god to instill love in heart of every individual so that there are no borders, no wars, no hatred or fights and no trade of weapons. I would wish him to turn the world into a big global village where we all live with peace, harmony and love and respect for each other and work towards upliftment of others. The world will become more beautiful and livable for us all.

What is your edge over the other contestants?
I am not just a dreamer, but a go getter. I dream and believe in my dreams; I have the fire in my soul to achieve my dreams with dignity. I think I am resilient and never give up on my heart and this go getter attitude is what sets me apart. I am self motivated, and think if your conscience tells you that you are right, you don’t need external validation. I am resilient and never give up; even if I fail I take it positively to forge ahead with maximum strength. I think my drive, determination, self belief and confidence is what sets me apart..

Who do you think is the sexiest man alive today?
I find confidence sexy. So Ranveer Singh is the sexiest man according to me. He is not only a brilliant actor but also carries all sorts of fashion beautifully and attracts people with his personality and wits and that’s sexy to me.

The last movie that made you cry:
I am moved by most of the things but the last movie that made me cry was ‘Uri- the surgical strike’…which portrayed how our brave soldiers stand strong day and night to protect the nation, how they stay away from their family and friends and how they are fierce and fearless and don’t care about their lives for the sake of people, their countrymen whom they don’t know personally.

Who is your favorite actor?
Ranveer Singh.

Biggest fear?
My only fear is losing my loved ones, my family. I wish they have a long healthy and happy life and I wish I am the reason for the happiness

Love is…
Love is not only giving and doing selfless deeds for the person you love but also nurturing them by constantly showing the difference between good and bad, being there for them in their highs and lows and having their back always.
