The North-East Minorities Students’ Union (NEMSU), BTR Committee, staged a two-hour protest dharna today (19 July 2025) at the Mahatma Gandhi Children Park in Kokrajhar, opposing the ongoing eviction drives in various districts of Assam.

The protest, held from 12 PM to 2 PM, saw the participation of around 300 NEMSU leaders and members. The demonstrators raised slogans condemning the eviction operations being carried out in districts such as Dhubri, Barpeta, Nagaon, Goalpara, and Morigaon.
