North East’s First Online Tourism Academy

GUWAHATI: North East Tourism Industry is one of the major contributors of India Tourism. Its uniqueness makes the region one of the most favourable tourism hotspot. In days to come, Tourism Education is going to become an essential element for India’s tourism and economic development. Considering the scenario with futuristic development goals, North East Tourism Academy (NETA) aims to become the hub of tourism studies and research in the region.

Being the first of its kind in North East India, NETA is launched firstly as an online learning platform that will provide exclusive online courses, workshops, webinars, internships, re-skilling development initiatives and placements. These courses and programs will focus mainly on concepts, theories, practices, principles, innovations and business models related to the tourism sector. The ultimate aim of the training is to produce minds that will take positive steps towards reinventing and reviving the tourism industry in the post-pandemic world.

Another major goal of NETA is to further the scholarly research and professional investigation of tourism and to integrate balanced strategies between the sectors of tourism education and training. For the first time, NETA will also focus on Creative Tourism Management aimed at training people to design and run customised training workshops for different kinds of organisations: Destination Management Organisations, non-governmental organisations (NGO’s), educational institutions or private entrepreneurial sector. The experiential learning is for anyone looking for an opportunity to enhance their skills to survive in the ever-changing and dynamic tourism industry.

North East Tourism Academy is powered and backed by Finderbridge Tourism, A Northeast India based Destination Management Organization working and striving towards the betterment of the tourism scenario in NE India with unique methodologies and ideals. It has been selected to present at the International Youth-To-Youth Summit, Dubai, ChangemakerXChange Summit, Philippines and recently at the University of Oxford, England
