Guwahati: A postgraduate student of the Nowgong Girls’ College reportedly died after being hit by a train in the Barhampur area of Nagaon, Assam, on Saturday.
The girl, who locals described as a bright student, died around the afternoon on Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Lipika Bora, a postgraduate student of Nowgong Girls’ College. She was the youngest daughter of Maneswar Bora of Maj Potoni under the Barhampur area of Nagaon.
According to reports, the incident took place when a train was passing through the area. Lipika Bora allegedly came under the engine of the train, leading to her death on the spot.
