The Assam Government on Wednesday issued a revised COVID-19 SOP to contain the spread of COVID-19 in Assam. According to the new SOP, the Odd-Even car(registration plates) rule will be mandatory for plying on the roads.
As per the new guidelines, all vehicles (other than government vehicles) will be allowed to move in accordance with an odd-even formula between 05:00 AM to 02:00 PM. However, personal vehicles used for medical emergencies will be allowed to move.
The registration plate number of cars allowed are:
Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday: Even: 0,2,4,6,8(last digit).
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Odd: 1,3,5,7,9(last digit).
Also, no Curfew Pass will issued by DDMA Kamrup Metro informed ADC Chinmoy Nath. One involved in Essential Services can show their valid Identity Card during Curfew Hours during inspection or checking by Guwahati Police.
