As part of SAKSHAM 2025–26 (Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav), ONGC Assam Asset organized a Cyclothon at Sivasagar on February 8 to create mass awareness on fuel conservation and sustainable living. SAKSHAM is a fortnight-long national campaign being observed from 1 to 15 February 2026 with the theme “Conserve Oil and Gas, Go Green.”
The Cyclothon was flagged off by Rajendran Chinnaswamy, CGM (M) in the presence of Ambreesh Gandhi, CGM (E) and Harsh Khanna, CGM (M). The event was organized by the Technical and Energy Audit Section under the guidance of Asset Manager Amit Kumar Mukhopadhyay.
ONGC employees, along with local residents including women and children, participated enthusiastically. The awareness route covered ONGC Sivasagar – Chariali Station – Shiv Dol – and back, drawing public attention towards fuel conservation. Participants raised slogans such as “Conserve Oil and Gas, Go Green,” reinforcing the message of energy efficiency and environmental protection.
The Cyclothon effectively conveyed the importance of adopting sustainable practices and encouraged the community to contribute towards a greener and cleaner future.
