Photography show at Gauhati Artists’ Guild

‘The Speaking Tree’, an exhibition based on abstract and minimalist photography, will be held at the twin galleries of Gauhati Artists’ Guild from November 10 to 15.

The exhibition will have works by members of some prominent photography associations and invited photo-artists.
Being organised by Jorhat-based socio-cultural group ‘Bornil’, the exhibition will be dedicated to the memories of seven students of the 1986 HSLC batch of Balya Bhavan, Jorhat, who passed away at various times since 1987 – Preetam Dutta, Mitali Kalita, Ranjan Rashmi Sarma, Jitumoni Bora, Mintumoni Bora, Sankumoni Bordoloi and Swarup Sharma. The event will be a tribute to them.

Those participating in the exhibition include: Anindita Sharma, Ashwini Barkataki, Bhaskar Burman, Bidyasagar Baruah, Bikash Bordoloi, Debasis Baruah, Dr Debabrata Ghosh, Debojit Boruah, Deeto Das, Deepamoni Rajkhowa, Devol Nath, Dipankar Barua, Dipu Das, Golap Das, Hemanta Debnath, Indranil Gayan, Jhuma Gogoi, Kushal Dutta, Nabajyoti Kalita, Nripen Saikia, Paresh Saikia, Partha J Sarma, Prabhakar De, Pranjal Mudoi, Puspita Choudhury, Sailendra Goswami, (Dr) Sanat Kr Dutta, Sanjib Gohain Boruah, Sansita Gogoi, Satwik Prabhakar, Saurabh Duarah, (Late) Swarup Sharma, Virgin K Gogoi and Yukta Hazarika.
