Rajasthan Financial Team Studies Assam’s Recovery and NPA Management Model

Guwahati, May 20: A delegation from the Rajasthan Financial Corporation (RFC), Jaipur, recently visited the Assam Financial Corporation (AFC) in Guwahati as part of a two-day study tour focused on institutional operations, loan recovery systems, and financial management practices.

According to officials, the visiting team interacted with senior AFC officers and reviewed several mechanisms adopted by the corporation to tackle issues related to non-performing assets (NPAs), recovery of dues, and stress asset resolution. Discussions also reportedly covered operational policies, fund mobilisation, HR management practices, and monitoring systems used by the Assam-based institution.

The RFC delegation included Executive Director Dr. Har Sahay Meena, DGM (CAS) Shri Ravinder, and DGM (CAS) Shri Sanjay Aswal. The programme was organised under the aegis of COSIDICI and hosted at AFC’s head office in Guwahati on May 18 and 19.

Sources said AFC officials shared insights into recovery strategies for high-defaulting units, internal review mechanisms, and RBI-related provisioning norms. Presentations were also made on appraisal systems, organisational structure, and administrative procedures followed by the corporation.

Officials associated with the programme stated that the interaction aimed at facilitating knowledge exchange among state financial corporations and understanding operational models being implemented in different states.

The visiting team reportedly described the study tour as informative and beneficial in gaining exposure to AFC’s institutional framework and management practices.
