Azara,June 21: The 11th International Yoga Day 2025 was observed at Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati today with this year’s theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’ On this occasion, Biman Kumar Nath and Banashree Das, Yoga Instructors, District Sports Office, Kamrup Metropolitan and Executive Member, Indian Yoga Culture & Yoga Therapy Centre, Guwahati was invited to demonstrate different yoga asanas. All the officials of the centre participated in the yoga session.
K.N. Mohan, Scientist-G and Head, Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati talked about importance of yoga in enhancing physical and mental well-being. Dr. Sanjay O’Neill Shaw, Scientist-F expressed his gratitude for joining everyone with great enthusiasm and urged all to promote the practice of yoga and meditation. Ms Chinmoyee Gogoi, Meteorologist-A welcomed the instructors and officials of Regional Meteorological Centre, Guwahati for joining together to embrace the timeless practice of yoga for inner peace, strength, and well-being. Doli Haloi, Meteorologist-B thanked all for joining Yoga and Meditation session. She further requested all to practice the same as a regular part of our life.
C. Amarnath, Scientist-D who is a certified trainer of Raja Yoga System of Heartfulness Meditation Technique conducted meditation for inner peace and overall well being. Ms Yarva Suma guided Heartfullness Relaxation technique for relaxing the body and mind.
