Guwahati: In a proud moment for Andhra Pradesh, Sanjana Varada, born in Tirupati, Chandragiri, has emerged as one of the finalists for Miss Grand India 2025. A multi-talented personality with roots in modeling, acting, and fashion, Sanjana’s journey is a moving tale of ambition, grit, and gratitude.
Raised by her single mother, A. Pavani, Sanjana credits her unwavering strength and support as the driving force behind her success. “My mother has been my strongest pillar, my biggest cheerleader, and my reason for never giving up. Half of my achievements belong to her,” she says with heartfelt emotion.
A Dream Born Indoors
Her journey into the glamour industry started under unexpected circumstances. “As a child, I suffered a serious leg injury that required surgery, which took away the carefree childhood most kids enjoy. I spent a lot of time indoors and in hospitals, and television became my world. Watching films and shows planted the dream of being on screen. That passion grew stronger as I did.”
At just 16, she began formal pageant training and quickly rose to prominence by winning the Miss Teen Global 2024 title at Star Miss Teen India. She later represented India at Miss Teen Global International 2024 in Malaysia, securing the 1st Runner-Up position—an achievement that sealed her commitment to the industry.
The Andhra Pradesh Journey: Recognition and Empowerment
Representing Andhra Pradesh in Miss Grand India, Sanjana recalls her state-level journey with pride. “It’s been an empowering experience. I’ve been featured in several top newspapers and television channels like Suman TV. I even had the honor of meeting the MLA of my district. The love and recognition I’ve received from my home state means the world to me.”
Now, as a national finalist, she feels a mix of pride and anticipation. “Being a finalist in Miss Grand India is a dream come true. I’m ready to give my all and showcase the fire within me on that stage.”
Balancing Academics, Fashion, and Purpose
Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Computer Science, Sanjana juggles her academic life with a growing portfolio in modeling and acting. She’s also a self-taught fashion designer. “I love creating my own gowns and outfits. Fashion is more than a profession to me—it’s a way of expressing who I am.”
Despite her demanding schedule, she remains laser-focused. “Having already participated in two major pageants, I now know how this world works. Even with just a month and a half to prepare for Miss Grand India, I feel confident, driven, and ready.”
Carrying the Soul of Andhra
As a proud village girl from Andhra Pradesh, Sanjana is conscious of the platform she has to amplify underrepresented voices. “In many villages, awareness about pageantry is still limited. I want to be a bridge between tradition and ambition. I want to show that girls from rural backgrounds can dream big—and achieve big.”
Her message to her home state is one of empowerment:
“To every girl out there—don’t limit yourself. Your dreams are valid. With dedication and belief, there’s nothing you can’t achieve.”
Lessons, Inspirations, and a Mindset of Growth
Sanjana draws deep inspiration from her mother and those she’s met along the way. “Everyone has taught me something—my pageant sisters, mentors, and management. One of the most important things I’ve learned is that pain is the first step toward success. The moment you face hate or hardship, it means you’re growing.”
Even with the physical remnants of her childhood surgery, she’s learned to walk the ramp with grace and power. “Managing that pain while walking the ramp hasn’t been easy, but I’ve mastered the balance between pain and purpose.”
Ready for the Grand Stage
As she prepares to represent Andhra Pradesh at the national level, Sanjana is methodical yet passionate. “Mentally, I’m grounded. Physically, I’m stronger than ever. Emotionally, I carry the dreams of my mother, my community, and my younger self who once stared at a screen hoping to be there one day. That day is now.”
With her journey defined by resilience, dreams, and a burning desire to represent not just her state but every girl who’s ever been told “you can’t,” Sanjana Varada stands ready to take on the Miss Grand India 2025 stage.
