A 29-year-old boy identified as Mingma Sanjay Tamang was arrested under the POCSO Act (The Protection of Children from Sexual Offence) by Sikkim Police for sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl on Saturday(April 17).
The incident came to light when the girl shared the incident with her mother. The minor girl was immediately taken to Jorethsang CHC for a medical check up.
On being confirmed, an F.I.R was registered at Jorethang Police Station and Sikkim Police arrested the culprit. Speaking to the media, the investigating officer said that they are investigating the matter.
