Sikkim reports first COVID-19 case

GUWAHATI: A person from Sikkim who came back from Delhi tested COVID-19 positive.

According to sources, the person was kept at the quarantine centre in Rabangla after he came back from Delhi. He was first tested on Truenet after he showed symptoms for the COVID-19 disease.

His sample was then sent to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital (NBMCH). The test also came out positive, said sources.

Health Secretary Dr. Pempa Bhutia confirmes one Covid-19 positive case in Sikkim. He’s a 25 year old who came back on 17 May and was quarantined at JNV Rabong. He is admitted at the Covid-19 ward at STNM.
