West Bengal Assembly passes bill to change state’s name to ‘Bangla’.

It will be “Bangla” in all languages, according to a leader of West Bengal’s ruling Trinamool Congress led by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The state is currently called “Paschim Banga” or “Paschim Bangla” in Bengali.
