Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, the newest mid-range smartphone from the Chinese smartphone maker, went on its first sale today at 12:00PM IST. The company confirmed that it sold 600,000 units of Redmi Note 6 Pro during the first sale and announced that it will hold second sale at 3:00PM.

Now, Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director at Xiaomi India, has confirmed that the second sale also saw the device going out of stock within minutes. As a result, Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro will be available for purchase two more times during the day. The next ‘Black Friday’ sale will be held at 6:00PM and 9:00PM respectively. This is the first time Xiaomi is selling its smartphone just a day after its official launch in the country.

However, multiple sales during the same day suggests Xiaomi is onto making Redmi Note 6 Pro the best-seller in the country. The strong demand for the smartphone can be owed to improved specifications and discounted price during the first sale. According to latest IDC numbers, Xiaomi remains the market leader for the fifth consecutive quarter.
