Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL) celebrated its 27th foundation day on April 22, recalling the journey of the company over the last 26 years.
The foundation day celebrations started off with a community run inside the NRL Township at Numaligarh followed by flag hoisting by the MD, SK Barua in the presence of the employees and their families. Thereafter, fruits were distributed amongst the patients of VKNRL Hospital in the Township and a blood donation camp was also organized as part of the occasion. Drawing and Poster-making competitions were organized among the students of Delhi Public School, Numaligarh and VK NRL School of Nursing on the occasion of NRL Day.
The Directors’ Conclave was organized at Kaziranga where ex-directors of the company met with the present management team and discussed the path ahead for the company. Later in the evening, a cultural programme by accomplished artistes of the State marked the end of the day’s celebrations.
The logo of the company’s Process Safety Management (PSM) was launched on the occasion along with the unveiling of the new name of NRL Township i.e., ‘Kunjakanon’ by the MD.
Earlier, in a run-up to the foundation day, an exhibition volleyball match was organized amongst national team volleyball players from Golaghat district (Men & Women), NRL Volleyball Team and NRL CISF Volleyball Team on April 21 at the NRL Township playground.
