Mriganka Shekhar Pathak (103), UR Sharma (145), Dipankar Choudhury (166), Aranyak Saikia (287), Fwwrman Brahma (429), Taypash Basumatari (645) and Diksha Langthasa (708) from Assam have cleared the UPSC-conducted civil services examination, the results of which were announced today.
A total of 10,468 candidates had qualified for the written (mains) examination. Kanishak Kataria, a SC category candidate, has topped the examination. He had Mathematics as his optional subject. Kataria holds a BTech (Computer Science and Engineering) degree from the IIT-Bombay.
Srushti Jayant Deshmukh, who secured the fifth rank, is the topper among women candidates. She is a BE (Chemical Engineering) from the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal.
The top 25 candidates comprise 15 men and 10 women.
