Union Home Minister Amit Shah stressed on the Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) while he was on a
Assam to participate in the 4th NEDA Conclave held on Monday.
on the occasion, Shah said that the tribal states won’t face any problem if the CAB is implemented.
It won’t affect Article 371. He said that the CAB will be implemented for the people who have come till December 31, 2014.
It has been proved from the words of Amit Shah that the BJP government is consistent to bring CAB in the region.
Criticizing Congress, Shah said that till 2014, there has been a clash between themselves itself in North East. He also said
that the Congress has never come up with a solution for terrorism.
Talking about the divide and rule policy, Shah said that it has been made by Congress and said that Nagaland is a part of
India saying that it was for the divide and rule policy of the Congress that the isolationism of the state was built during the
rule of the Congress.
He also appealed to the state governments to take special measures on the tourism sector of the Northeast and asked
the tourism department of every state to prepare a tourism package of the entire Northeast
