Assam’s Sivasagar will be developed as iconic site with on-site museums.
The decision was announced by finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman while presenting union budget for the financial year 2020-21 in the parliament today.
“5 Archaeological sites will be developed as iconic sites with museums. They are Rakhigarhi in Haryana, Hastinapur in Uttar Pradesh, Sivasagar in Assam, Dholavira in Gujarat and Adichanallur in Tamil Nadu,” said finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman during budget session.
