For the first time since the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to deliver an inaugural address on Day-1 of the India Global Week 2020 beginning from Thursday, July 9, 2020 in UK.
A three-day virtual conference themed #BeTheRevival: India And A Better New Word, the India Global Week 2020 will have more than 5,000 global participants from over 30 nations being addressed by 250 global speakers across 75 sessions.
During the summit, PM Modi is expected to focus on India’s trade and foreign investment prospects. He is likely to lay out numerous investment and manufacturing opportunities that India has on offer as the world emerges from the Covid-19 pandemic.
The event is organised by India Inc. – a London-headquartered media house that produces high-quality incisive content and events on investment, trade and policy matters relating to India’s increasingly globalised economic and strategic agenda.
As quoted in a PTI report, entrepreneur, strategist and India Inc. CEO Manoj Ladwa said, “As the world battles to emerge out of the shadows of COVID-19, India with its immense talent pool, its technological prowess, and growing appetite for leadership has a central role to play in global affairs. I am sure the Indian Prime Minister’s message to the world will resonate with the #BeTheRevival: India and a Better New World theme of India Global Week.”
The organisers of the event in a statement said that the India Global Week commits to re-energise and ignite optimism, but also inspire action.
“From Geopolitics to Business, Arts & Culture to Emerging Technologies, Banking and Finance, Pharma, Defence and Security, Social Impact and the all-important Diaspora Dividend, the event promises to bring about an action-oriented focus to global deliberations,” the statement read.
High-powers countries like Australia, Japan, Singapore, the UK and the US will be seen in the sessions. Prominent speakers and senior cabinet ministers including External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Railways and Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, Civil Aviation and Urban Affairs Minister Hardeep Singh Puri, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and Skill Development Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey will participate in the conference.
