GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday attended the Annual General Meeting of Assam Olympic Association(AOA) 2020 in Guwahati.
Sonowal also unvieled sports ‘জ্যোতিষপুৰ'(Jyotishpur), the annual newsletter of AOA and launched the new website of the sports body.
Sonowal said that the AOA is dedicatedly working to strengthen the sports sector of Assam.
The Chief Minister Tweeted, “Attended the Annual General Meeting of Assam Olympic Association (AOA), 2020 in Guwahati.

“New and upcoming sectors like Sports Technology and Sports Nutrition will play a pivotal role in the sports sector.
We must strive to inculcate scientific practices in the sector to empower our athletes,” Sonowal added in another Tweet.
He further Tweeted, “AOA is working dedicatedly to strengthen Assam’s sports sector.
To encourage people across every age group to inculcate sports in their daily lives and to unearth hidden talents in the grassroots, we will be organising Village Olympics across the state.”
