GUWAHATI: On the occasion of 72nd Republic Day, Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal paid floral tributes to the martyrs at Shraddhanjali Kanan in Guwahati on Tuesday morning.
“Offered floral tributes to the martyrs, whose valour and sacrifice have laid the foundation of India. At Shraddhanjali Kanan, Guwahati,” Sonowal said in a tweet.
After paying tributes to the martyrs, Sonowal reached College of Veterinary Science field at Khanapara to attend the Republic Day programme.
On the other hand, greeting the people on this significant day, the chief minister urged everyone to pledge together to realise the dreams of an aspirant India and establish the nation as the ‘Bishwaguru’.
