GUWAHATI: A protest has been staged demanding the return of a black panther that was shifted from the Assam State Zoo to Mukesh Ambani’s Z00 located in Gujarat. The transfer had taken place allegedly secretly on 12th January.
The protesters have also demanded investigation into the many instances of death or disappearance of wild animals from the Ambani zoo.
The protesters, essentially wildlife lovers, have levelled allegations that along with the Assam state zoo, 160 other zoo’s in the country have been handed over to business minded private players.
