GUWAHATI: Assam’s new chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma along with 13 cabinet ministers took oath at Srimanta Sankardeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on Monday.
Governor Prof Jagdish Mukhi administered the oath to Dr Sarma and 13 ministers.
The cabinet took oath in 4 different languages.
UPPL MLA, former Rajya Sabha MP and Sahitya Akademi awardee Urkhao Gwra Brahma took oath as minister in the Bodo language.
BJP leader and minister in the last government Parimal Suklabaidya took oath in Bengali.
Dhekiajuli MLA Ashok Singhal took oath in English.
Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma and other ministers took oath in Assamese.
