Bodoland Territorial Council(BTC) Executive Member Wilson Hasda on Thursday visited Injot Trust NGO at Rangagaon village, Kokrajhar on the occasion of its foundation day.
Speaking on the occasion, Hasda said, “In the present era, education is a very important means to tackle poverty and other social issues and can build a very good near and clean environment.”
He urged the parents to make their children good citizens by educating their children.
“We can see a complete developed BTR only when every corner and all section of people are educated, so educating oneself is very important for all,” Hasda added.
Wilson Hasda was accompanied by his wife Dr. Rejina Marandi.
It is to be mentioned that the people of the Rangagaon village, volunteers associated with the ngo, and children of the area took part in the 1st-anniversary celebration of INJOT TRUST (NGO).
Injot Trust – an Assam-based non-governmental organization focussed on community-based interventions through historic trauma healing, educational support and capacity building amongst indigenous children and youth in Assam, particularly those whose ancestors immigrated as indentured labor in tea plantations in the 19th century.
